Would you support the sale and development of the Erie Street parking lot if you thought the RFP process and project design would be managed well by council? (only votes from logged in users count)

Welcome to stratford-citizens.ca

print pdf
I hope this site will develop into a forum for citizens of Stratford, Ontario, Canada, or anyone with an interest in Stratford, to discuss all manner of topics, encourage communication and interaction, and act as a clearing house of community information (or at least an organized collection of links to other community sites)

I'm hoping that volunteers will come forward to help define policies for this site, produce content (and graphics to make it more appealing), suggest forum topics, and help moderate public areas to try to make coming here a positive experience.

You have read access to most areas but you will need to register to be able to post anything. This helps to keep things a bit more organized. Registering also gives you a couple of helpful items like a list of what has changed since your last login.

The registration process is quick; it asks you for your name, desired username, and your email address and automatically emails you with a link to click on to activate your account.

Then go to one of the sections listed in the menu to the left and start contributing :)

The Wiki (read What the Heck Is a Wiki? from Business 2.0 magazine) and the Forums are of interest to most users.

Make your vote count at our polls.

We currently have 1916 registered users.

A few new polls have been added. Maybe these will give some direction for future city policies.
Don't forget you get a new one every page refresh now. Click on "Other polls" to see them all in list view.

Group chooses stratford-citizens.ca as host for discussion forum
By: System Administrator  on: Wed 05 of Oct, 2005 [13:08 UTC]  (4147 reads)
A recent sudden jump in registered users is partly due to a group who have chosen to use this site as an online discussion tool. They have chosen to have their forum private, so unfortunately you won't see any activity unless some of their members choose to participate in other discussions. This is the first group to use this site this way.

Hopefully other groups will come forward to also have their own forum and/or wiki pages. Other options for groups are to allow public input or to allow the public to read posted information but only certain users can create or edit that information.

stratford-citizens Moved To New Server
By: System Administrator  on: Mon 18 of Jul, 2005 [19:07 UTC]  (1884 reads)
stratford-citizens was moved to new server at our web host over the weekend. It required a change of IP address which knocked us out of action for most people for a day or two until dns servers around the world catch up to our new server.
But now we're back and the wiki problems that some people experienced are now gone.

New poll

We've decided that maybe another poll for citizens to weigh in about Walmart would be useful.

Nobody is trying to convince you either way on this one, so vote your true opinion.

This quote is so overused that I couldn't even find the original author!

Let me know if you can find it
