Stratford is home to a world known Chef's school. Many of the graduates have decided to stay in Stratford and work at a local restaurant, hotel, or open their own business. As such, dining is exemplary in Stratford and there is a huge variety in styles from fast food to gourmet haute cusine.

• Crabby Joes, Ontario Street, east end of City - very casual family dining chain with bar area. Reasonable prices, good food, good portions, and good menu variety. I'm a burger guys and the burgers here are good.
• Kelsey's, Ontario Street, east end of City by Zehrs - casual family dining chain with bar area. Reasonable prices, good food, good portions, and good menu variety with rotating themes (ie Tex-Mex?, BBQ, Oriental, etc). I personally recommend the fish and chips, the burgers, and the chicken wraps.
